Anchor text: Abstract. In the historical information about the events in Bulgarian lands, along with the name of Bulgaria meets the name Zagora/Zagore. During certain time periods in Bulgaria and Zagora various independent of each other churches operated. This article proposed a review of some of the historical information and after its analysis put the questions of existence before and during the reign of King Simeon of: the respective regional names such as names of administrative units and as well as of independent of each other churches.
