Yes, the USGAO report you mentioned explicitly mentions that Dr. Olney ''claimed'' that monosodium glutamate is harmful, and that he ''claimed'' that conclusion was based on studies done by himself and others. I think it is a primary source that should probably not be used for that reason, could only be used in a very limited way if at all, but it basically reliable in terms of the claims made by Dr. Olney. Whether or not those statements should be in the article on MSG is another question. :*3).
